"Kyrie Elieson, Christe Elieson" are some of the most ancient words that have survived from the earliest church liturgies. They mean "Lord Have Mercy. Christ Have Mercy." This song, a lament for all of us, lovely, broken, needy people, reconnects us with those ancient words and reminds us that there is mercy enough, grace enough, love enough, for all of us.
